Eileen Brzuchalski, 93, of Mayfield, PA, died Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Brzuchalski, who died in 2008. Prior to his passing, they were married 56 years. Born July 14, 1927 in Mayfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kiefer and Emily Pochatek Stawisky. Eileen was a graduate of Mayfield High School. She was a sales associate at JC Penney, Dickson City for 25 years where she made many lifelong friends. She had a beautiful smile for everyone she met and will be remembered for her warmth and kindness. Eileens life was centered around her family and her faith. She was a devoted member of St. Michaels Orthodox Church, Jermyn. She raised her family in the home she was born in and where she lived independently until her death. She enjoyed baking, cooking for her family and hosting Sunday dinners at home, volunteering for her church, and playing canasta with her friends. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren meant everything to her and were the focal point of her life. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by three sons: David Brzuchalski and wife, Mary of Jermyn, PA, Gary Brzuchalski of Mayfield, PA and Robert Brzuchalski and wife, Louise of Clarks Summit, PA; five grandchildren: Nicholas Brzuchalski and wife, Sara of Jermyn, PA, Alexis Brzuchalski of Philadelphia, PA, Geoffrey Brzuchalski and wife, Alison of Mendham, NJ, Christine Hinkley and husband, Michael of Boonton, NJ and Elizabeth Murray and husband, Timothy of Nashville, TN; six great grandchildren: Emily, Thomas, Abigail, Ryan and Molly Brzuchalski and Audrey Hinkley; one nephew: Paul Puzza. She was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Puzza and brother in-law, Willard. Services were private at the familys convenience. Interment, St. Michael's Orthodox Cemetery, Jermyn, PA. Pallbearers: Geoff Brzuchalski, Paul and Nick Puzza Arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA. Memorial donations in Eileen's name were sent to St. Michaels Orthodox Church, 305 Walnut Street, Jermyn, Pa 18433.
