Edwin M. Veith, Jr., age 68, a resident of the Osprey Ridge Health Care Center, Carbondale, PA. and formerly of New Jersey and Susquehanna, PA., died Friday evening, December 30, 2011 at Osprey Ridge with his family at his side. Born September 19, 1943 in Paterson, NJ., he was the son of the late Edwin M. Veith, Sr. and Edna (Campbell) Veith. He enjoyed spending time with his family and had a love for horses. He is survived by one daughter: Tina Monks of Susquehanna, PA.; two sons: Craig Monks of Great Bend, PA. and Oscar Monks of Thompson, PA.; seven grandchildren; one aunt: Eleanor Sanders of Pompton Plains, NJ.; one niece: Lisa Ackerson of Haskell, NJ.; special friend: Linda Monks-Rivenburg of Thompson, PA. He was preceded in death by one daughter: Clara Monks; one brother: Dennis Veith. A memorial service was held Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA., with Rev. Jack Munley, officiating.
