Edward Gene Young, Jr., age 23, of Clifford Twp., PA., died late Thursday evening, February 3, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Acre Lake, Susquehanna County. Born December 27, 1987 in Scranton, PA., he is the of son of Edward G. Young, Sr. and wife Shirley of Wilkes-Barre, PA. and Cindy (Barney) Young and companion Vito Costanza of Clifford, Twp., PA. He was a 2006 graduate of Mountain View High School and worked for Eagle Warranty Company, Eynon, PA. for 2 years. He was a fun loving person who enjoyed snowboarding and quading. His greatest enjoyment was his love for his family. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and three dogs, Patches, Sam and Bailey. He is survived by two sisters: Heather Young of Hop Bottom, PA. and Destiny Costanza of Clifford, PA.; one brother: Anthony Young of Clifford, PA.; one nephew: Chayse Gabriel of Hop Bottom, PA.; maternal grandmother: Alberta Sheridan and husband John of Nicholson, PA.; paternal grandmother: Regina B. Young of Wilkes-Barre, PA.; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: John Barney, Jr.; his paternal grandfather: Wayne C. Buck Young. The funeral was held Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10:00 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA., with Pastor Peg Knapich, rector of the Clifford and Lenoxville United Methodist Churches, officiating. Interment, Clifford Valley Cemetery, Clifford, PA. Friends called Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 5-8 PM.
