Obituary

Edward Frank Searles, 45, of Scott Township, PA., died Friday morning, September 10, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. He was the husband of the former Stacey Edmondson. They were married on October 11, 1997. Born February 5, 1965 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late John and Shirley (Korjack) Searles. He was a graduate of the Forest City High School and was currently employed as a pilot car driver for Home Touch, Taylor, PA. Prior to his illness, he was self employed for 15 years as a plumbing, heating and electrical contractor. He was a member of the East Penn Technical Search and Rescue of Tobyhanna, PA., was a former fireman and had a long history in Emergency Medical Services. He was a member of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, Clarks Summit, PA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His family will remember him as a dearly beloved husband, father, son, brother and best friend who will be deeply missed. He is survived by two daughters: Brianna and Samantha Searles both at home; two sisters: Carrie and Patricia Searles both of Scott Township, PA.; his mother and father in law: Jim and Lin Edmondson of Clarks Summit, PA.; his wife's Grandparents: Jack and Lois Perry of Dalton, PA.; his brother and sister in law: Guy and Shawna Salerno of Peckville, PA.; one niece: Cassidy Salerno; and other family in Ireland. The funeral was held Monday, September 13, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA., with Rev. Judy Wanck, pastor of the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, officiating. Cremation followed. Friends called Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 5-8 PM. Pallbearers: John Adamski, Matt Lee, Edward Cole, Homer Pidgeon, Brian Lent, Ryan Cerulli Tom Brozdowski. Honorary Guard provided by East Penn Technical Search Rescue of Tobyhanna, PA.
