Edward V. Doyle, age 70, of Harford Township, PA., died suddenly Friday night, July 28, 2006 upon arrival at the Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose, PA. He was the husband of the former MaryAnne Rimmer. Born December 7, 1935 in New York City, NY., he was the son of the late John and Gertrude Kelly Doyle. After his retirement in 1991 from the New York Stock Exchange as assistant treasurer, he and his wife relocated to Harford from Hoboken, New Jersey. He was a member of St. Pius X Church, Royal, PA. He was an Army veteran having served overseas in France. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by one son: Kenneth and wife Margaret Doyle of Highbridge, NJ.; three daughters: Eileen and husband Jon Gilbert of Summit, NJ., Coleen and husband Kevin Carman of Syracuse, NY. and Evaleen and husband Jeff Jansen of Ocoee, FL.; one sister: Gertrude O'Connor of New York, NY.; ten grandchildren, Caitlin, Colin, Matthew, Robert, Emily, Andrew, Thomas, Patrick, Brennan and Zachary. He was preceded in death by two brothers: John and Vincent Doyle. The funeral was held Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at 9:30 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, PA., with Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, Route 106, Royal, celebrated by the Rev. William Campbell, senior priest. Cremation followed at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Inurnment, Maplewood Cemetery, Kingsley, PA. Friends called Monday, July 31, 2006 from 7-9 PM Pallbearers: Kevin Carman, Jeffrey Jansen, Jonathan Gilbert, Robert, Matthew and Colin Doyle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the donor's favorite charity.
