Douglas A. Wilcox, age 55, of Ajax, Ontario, Canada, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 12, 2003 at Mercy Hospital, Scranton, PA. while visiting his daughter. Born December 13, 1947 in Toronto, Canada. He is the son of Hilda Wilcox, Canada and the late Gordon Wilcox. He enjoyed fishing and carpentry work. He was a loving father, brother and grandfather and will be greatly missed. He is survived by one daughter: Charmaine Haggerty of Hamlin, PA.; four sons: Darryl Wilcox of Toronto, Canada, Clark Wilcox of Ajax, Ontario, Canada, Doug Wilcox of Barry, Ontario, Canada and Shawn Wilcox of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; Sisters, Brothers, 3 Grandchildren and Nieces Nephews also survive. A memorial service will take place in Canada. Cremation took place in the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Funeral arrangements were entrusted into the care of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA.
