Dorothy B. Wallace, age 95, a resident of the Forest City Nursing Home, Forest City, PA. and formerly of Lenoxville, PA., died Saturday afternoon, October 27, 2007 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, PA. She was the wife of the late Raymond L. Wallace who died November 28, 1986.
Born June 3, 1912 in Jermyn, PA., she was the daughter of the late William and Olive (Weibel) Clark. She was a member of the Worth Baptist Church, RD Jermyn, PA. and its choir. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Sunshine Chapter, the Gibson Grange 798 and a faithful follower of the WPEL Christian Radio Station located in Montrose, PA. She was a hard worker who loved bingo, canning, cooking, baking and crocheting. She was a self taught piano player, loved telling stories and was known as Gramma to everyone. She loved spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by all of them.
She is survived by two sons: James wife Shirley Wallace of Vandling, PA. and Ronald wife Marlene Wallace of Forest City, PA.; one sister: Florence Thorn of Ararat, PA.; five grandchildren: David wife Dorothy Wallace, Debbie husband Brian Chidester, Rodney wife Kimberly Wallace, Donna husband John Barney and Richard wife Nancy Wallace; 11 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandson; Several Nieces, Nephews Cousins She was preceded in death by three brothers: Howard, Leonard Harold Clark The funeral was held Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, PA., with the Rev. Dale Chasse, pastor of the Worth Baptist Church, officiating. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, Montdale, PA.
Pallbearers: David, Rodney and Richard Wallace, Daniel Zaleski, Brian and Timothy Chidester, John and Dylan Barney.
