Dorothy Price Spencer, 86, of Novato, CA, and formerly of Union Dale, PA, died Monday, August 3, 2015 at California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco, CA. She was the wife of Paul Spencer, who died March 5, 1985. Born July 11, 1929 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Marguerite Foster Price. She was of the protestant faith. Dorothy loved to travel and knit and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a big heart and would help anyone in need. Prior to her retirement in 1992, she spent most of her life working in several area factories. She is survived by five sons: Charles Price of Colorado, Samuel Spencer of Winter Garden, FL, Edgar Spencer of Hubert, NC, David Spencer of Pontotoc, MS and Paul Spencer of Orlando, FL; a daughter: Sandra Aslesen of Novato, CA; a sister: Charlotte Halstead of Elk Dale, PA; 28 grandchildren; 61 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sons: Donald, Baby Carl and Baby John Spencer; a daughter, Baby Lillian May Spencer; two sisters: Mildred Spencer and Frances Oscarson. Private interment took place in the Lyon Street Cemetery, Union Dale, PA. Arrangements were entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Clifford, PA
