Dorothy M. Shupenes, age 70, of Kingsley, PA. died early Saturday morning, February 19, 2005 at the Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. following an illness. She was the wife of Peter Shupenes.
Born April 9, 1934 in Gibson, PA. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Kavelski) Domblosky. She was a member of St. Martin of Tours Church in Jackson, PA. She was a licensed real estate broker and the owner and operator of Dorothy M. Shupenes Real Estate in Kingsley for 35 years.
She lived life to the fullest and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always reached out to help others in need.
She is survived by one daughter: Ramona husband Robert Mazur of Blakely, PA.; one son: Peter Shupenes, a Doctor of Pharmacy of Binghamton, NY.; two Sisters: Ann Oropallo and Kathryn Pagano both of Susquehanna, PA.; one granddaughter: Brittney Mazur; Several Nieces Nephews
She was preceded in death by one infant son: Peter Edward Shupenes; one brother: Anthony Domblosky; three sisters: Elizabeth Bennett, Helen Kaczkowski and Mary Bielawski
The funeral was held Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 9:45 am from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, PA. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Martin of Tours Church, Jackson, celebrated by Rev. John OBell, pastor. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Friends called Tuesday, February 22, 2005 from 6-9 pm. Pallbearers: Willard Buzz Bennett, Bill Quattrociocchi, Rodney Paul and Tom Bielawski.
