Dorothy A. Peduto, age 76, of 150 Westgate Drive (formerly of Summit Avenue), Carbondale died early Tuesday morning, September 10, 2002 at the Forest City Nursing Home. She was the widow of Anthony Peduto, who died August 10, 1982.
Born October 19, 1925 in Carbondale, PA. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary (Cerra) Molinaro.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale, and a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. She was employed through the Carbondale Library for the past nine years before retiring recently.
She was a lifelong resident of Carbondale and loved her community. She enjoyed bowling, roller skating and her many trips ot Florida to visit her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her energetic spirit and strong will, as well as her love for her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two sons and two daughter-in-laws: Anthony Jeanne Peduto of Colorado Springs, CO. and Joseph J. Diane Peduto of Coral Springs, FL.; 2 Grandchildren: Joey and Kristin Peduto; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins
She was preceded in death by four sisters: Alma Tolerico, Josephine Urso, Rose Shambro and Margaret (Peggy) Molinaro
The funeral was held Saturday, September 14, 2002 at 9:00am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with mass at 9:30am in Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Russell Motsay, pastor. Interment, Mother Of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
