Dorothy L. Peck, age 90, of Glenwood, PA. died late Monday evening, January 20, 2003 at the Carpenter Care Center, Tunkhannock. She was the wife of Don L. Peck, who died May 19, 1993. Born March 11, 1912 in Forest City, PA. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Anna (Rounds) Burdick. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Harford, PA. She was a graduate of the Forest City Schools. Prior to her retirement she was an Avon representative for over 30 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be dearly missed. She was a great homemaker and enjoyed baking wedding and birthday cakes. Memorial Contributions can be made to the First Congregational Church Memorial Garden, Harford. She is survived by two daughters: Ruth Taugher of Lenoxville, PA. and Barbara Pompey of Nicholson, PA.; one son: Don Peck, Jr. of Kingsley, PA.; one brother: Fred Burdick of Windsor, NY. 8 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; Nieces and Nephews She was preceded in death by one daughter: Joyce Pickering The funeral was held Friday, January 24, 2003 at 11:00 am in the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, with Rev. Jack Race officiating. Interment, West Lenox Cemetery, West Lenox, PA. A viewing was held Thursday, January 23, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9.
