Dorothy A. Opeil, 74, of Clifford, PA., died Thursday night, July 10, 2008 surrounded by her family at home, after an extended illness. She was the wife of Andrew J. Opeil who died March 25, 1984.
Born February 12, 1934 at the family homestead in Pleasant Mount, PA., she was the daughter of the late Percy and Florence (Roberts) Glanville. She was a member of St. Pius X Church, Royal, PA., and was formerly employed at the Clifford Dress Factory as a seamstress. She is survived by one daughter: Sandy Granick of Clifford, PA.; one sister: Louise Langlis of San Francisco, CA.; one brother: William Glanville of Mount Pocono, PA.; three grandchildren: Lisa Granick, Andrew Granick and Matthew Granick; two great grandchildren: Avy Justice Mudge. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Mary Ann and Joann Opeil; one sister: Shirley Glanville. The funeral was held Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 9:30 AM From the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford with a Mass on Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, Route 106, Royal, celebrated by Msgr. Joseph G. Quinn. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
