Dorothy Jenkins, 79, of Greenfield Township, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John who died on July 4, 2017.

Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Al and Thurza Guard Johns and attended Scranton Tech High School. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at Creavey Seal Company. She spent her retirement years enjoying time with her family, especially learning video games with the light of her life, Keegan.

She is survived by a son: Ron and wife, Linda, whom she lived with; a daughter: Laura; grandchildren: Ron (Katie) and Jamie (Mark); and great-grandchildren: Keegan, Connor, Nora, Colin, Kennedy and Mack.

She was also preceded in death by two children: Colleen and Keith; and two sisters: Marion and Arlene.

The funeral was held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with Rev. Bonnie Resseguie, officiating. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Dalton, PA.

A viewing was held Saturday, December 30, 2030 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations were made in Dorothy's name to the Ronald McDonald House, 322 Wheeler Avenue, Scranton, PA 18510
