Dorothy Cravetts, 69, of Carbondale, PA., formerly of Terrace Street, died Friday morning, July 30, 2010 at the Carbondale Nursing Home, Carbondale. Born June 6, 1941 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Peritsky) Cravetts. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She was a graduate of Carbondale schools and had been employed for many years as a sewing machine operator at Weiss Garment in Carbondale. She enjoyed sewing in her spare time. She is survived by one brother: John Cravetts of Clifton, NJ.; two aunts: Caroline Yakubik of North Carolina and Alice Mouser of Los Angeles, CA.; cousins: Jean McAlla of Clifford, PA., Carol Scarfo of Carbondale, PA., Andrew Yakubik of Carbondale, PA. and Catherine Brandt of Syracuse, NY. She was preceded in death by Salley Cummings and her god mother: Katherine Cravetts. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, August 2, 2010 at 10:30 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 N. Church Street, Carbondale. Interment, St. Anthony's Cemetery, Forest City, PA. A private visitation for family was held Monday morning from the Edward A. Wade Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Morris Place at Terrace Street, Carbondale. Pallbearers: Jamie Walsh, Andrew Yakubik, Matthew Yakubik and Brian Bognatz.
