Doris Kline, 81, formerly of Shenandoah Village Apartments, Shenandoah, PA, died Wednesday evening, June 11, 2014 at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carbondale, PA, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born November 5, 1932 in Shenandoah, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice (Durham) Kline. Doris was a faithful and lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, Shenandoah where she volunteered most of her time to help with all events that took place at the church. She was also a member of the church choir and enjoyed singing solo during services and weddings. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with her family. She worked as a house cleaner for many years. She is survived by one son: Charles Kline and wife Darlene of Jermyn, PA; one granddaughter: Darcie Rager and husband Ethan of Waynesboro, PA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother: Linford Kline; one sister: Elva Drumheller. Funeral services were held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 1:00 pm from the Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah, with Rev. Christopher Wollyung, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Shenandoah, officiating. Inurnment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights, PA. Friends called Friday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements were under the care of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
