Doris Cost, age 79, a resident of Osprey Ridge Health Care Center, Carbondale, PA. and formerly of Cortez, PA., died Saturday evening, May 3, 2008 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She was the wife of the late Peter F. Cost who died January 26, 1987. Born October 24, 1928 in Scranton, PA., she was the daughter of the late Norman and Aldora (Kaiser) Spangenberg. She is survived by one daughter-in-law: Patrice Cost of Greenfield Township, PA.; three sisters: Aldora Tootsie Choronis, Lois Spangenberg and Carol Spangenberg all of Honesdale, PA.; five grandchildren: Amy husband Steven Becker, Dominick wife Kim Cost, Theresa husband Daniel Swingle, Peter Cost, Nicholas Cost fiance Kristen Caviston all of Carbondale, PA.; eight great grandchildren: Jacob, Camryn, Dominick, Madison, Austin, Jayden, Nevaeh Nicholas She was preceded in death by one son: Dominick Cost; one brother: Edward Spangenberg; two sisters: Alice Derrick Ethel Williams A graveside service and interment was held Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst, PA. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale. Pallbearers: 2 grandsons-Dominick Nicholas Cost Daniel Swingle.
