Doreen Reddington Borgia Lee, 43, of Dunmore, PA., died Thursday morning, February 24, 2011 at Mercy Hospital, Scranton, PA., after a lengthy illness.
Born in Scranton, PA., she was the daughter of Dorothy (Sidorowicz) Reddington of Dunmore and John Reddington and wife Kathi of Scranton.
Prior to her illness, she was a self employed certified massage therapist and also worked for the Scranton Times/Tribune.
The family would like to thank the nurses of the east wings on the 6th, 8th and 9th floors of Mercy Hospital for the very special care given to Doreen. They would also like to thank Dr. Paul Remick for seeing her through her illness and never giving up hope for her.
Also, the family wants to thank the many good friends we have that have shown their continued support to each of us through this very difficult time. We are blessed to have you in our lives.
She is survived by one son, Michael Borgia of Dunmore, PA.; one grandson, Matthew Borgia of Scranton, PA.; one sister, Jackie Saar and husband Steve of Scranton, PA.; and a very special and close friend, Jack Cure of Scott Township, who was always supportive, caring and there for her in her times of need.
As per her request she was cremated. A private memorial service for family and friends was held in the chapel of Mercy Hospital, Scranton, with Rev. Joseph Sica, chaplain of Mercy Hospital, officiating.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
