Donna K. Sona, 54, of Dickson City, PA, died Saturday, January 2, 2016 at home. Born December 26, 1961 in Fredonia, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Shirley Barrett Johnson. Donna was a 1979 graduate of Conestoga High School, Marlton, NJ and worked at Specialty Records in Olyphant, PA for 15 years. She recently worked at Lockheed Martin, Archabld, PA for five years. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed riding her motorcycle, listening to music, vacationing with family at Long Beach Island, NJ, playing cards, reading, especially Joel Osteen books and making arts and crafts, especially decoupage. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a wonderful sense of humor that made everyone laugh. Donna's greatest joy in life was spending time with her son, Ray and believed in spreading happiness to everyone she met. She will be missed by her family, friends and her dog, Ozzie. She is survived by her son: Raymond Sona, III. and his girlfriend, Kristen Ogozaly of Carbondale, PA; three sisters: Susan Evans of Garner, NC, Judy Lunney of Laflin, PA and Kathleen Davis of Hopewell, VA; one brother: Richard Johnson of Lakeland, FL; former husband: Raymond Sona, Jr. of Carbondale, PA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a nephew: John J. Lunney, III. Family and friends called Friday, January 8, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. at the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale. A blessing service was conducted at 8:30 p.m. Cremation followed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions were made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Township, PA 18411.
