Donna M. Kilmer, 53, of Greenfield Township, PA, died Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Regional Hospital, Scranton, PA, after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her husband, Joel M. Kilmer. They were married on July 23, 1983. Born September 11, 1962 in Honesdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Marlene Johnson Lent. Donna was a 1981 graduate of Honesdale High School. She had been employed as a caregiver at Allied Services in Scranton and later as a direct care supervisor for Stillmeadow, Inc., in Jermyn, PA. She was a member of the Tompkinsville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also an avid collector of Beanie Baby Bears. Donna will be fondly remembered for her strong will and courage during her lengthy illness. Her life revolved around her family. Her husband Joel was the true love of her life, her children were everything to her and her grandchildren were the light of her life. The family would like to thank Dr. Henry Yeager, Dr. Tamrat Bekele, DaVita Dialysis in Mayfield and the nurses and staff at Moses Taylor Hospital for the many years of compassionate care given to Donna. They also extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at Regional Hospital for the care given to Donna in her final days. She is survived by three children: Mark Kilmer and wife Alicia of Jermyn, PA, Tracy Kilmer of Simpson, PA and Dana Kilmer at home; two grandchildren: Madison and Ethan Kilmer; five sisters: Debra Mohrman of Beach Lake, PA, Kathy Murnin of Vandling, PA, Ellen Griffin of Alabama, Susan Johanes of Milanville, PA and Kimberly Rosar of Carbondale, PA; eight brothers: John Lent of Honesdale, PA, Joseph Lent of Idaho, Michael Lent of Honesdale, PA, Jerry Lent of Beach Lake, PA, Christopher Lent of Honesdale, PA, David Lent of Honesdale, PA, Robert Lent of Simpson, PA and her baby brother, Brian Lent of Jermyn, PA; a brother-in-law: Daniel Kilmer and wife Amber of Carbondale, PA; nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by a brother: Kevin Lent. The funeral was held Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. from the Tompkinsville United Methodist Church, 1448 Heart Lake Road, Scott Township, PA, with Pastor Beth Taylor, officiating. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA. Pallbearers: Brian Lent, Dominick Lent, Robert Lent, Danny Kilmer, Brian Rosar and T.J. Gavin.
