Donna A. Coleman, 65, a lifelong resident of Carbondale, PA, died Sunday morning, April 26, 2015 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA, following a battle with cancer.
Born March 9, 1950 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph, Jr. and Rosemary DeFazio Arnese.
Donna was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and worked for over twenty years a SCI Waymart prior to her retirement in 2012. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale and enjoyed golfing, camping, gardening and the beach. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter: Christine Alefantis and husband Timothy of Springbrook Township, PA; a son: Bradley Coleman and wife Sarah of Dunmore, PA five grandchildren: Jonah, Logan, Evan and Connor Alefantis and Emily Coleman; a sister: Debra Wuestling and husband Kent of Olyphant, PA; two brothers: Joseph Arnese, III. and wife Jeanne of Dickson City, PA and Lawrence Arnese of Carbondale, PA; three nieces: Kendra Wuestling, Kelly Burns and Laurie Pompeo.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, May 1, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale.
Friends called Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale.
