Obituary

Donna J. Cicerini, 75, formerly of the South High Rise, Carbondale, PA., died Thursday night, September 9, 2010 at the Carbondale Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Ernest Cicerini. Born February 28, 1935 in East Benton Twp., PA., she was the daughter of the late Marguerite (Jones) Clark. She was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carbondale. She started her career as a secretary at Moore Ford in Scranton, PA. She later worked as a secretary for many years at the Lackawanna County Housing Authority, Dunmore, PA., and prior to retirement she worked at the Downs Off Track Betting in Carbondale. The family would like to thank the staff of the Carbondale Nursing Home, Southern Care Hospice and the Rev. John Hardman-Zimmerman for the kind and compassionate care given to Donna during her illness. She is survived by one brother: Raymond Clark and wife Patricia of Carbondale, PA.; three sisters: Janice Roskosky and husband Joseph of Carbondale, PA., Joyce White of Honesdale, PA. and Sue Langan-Morris and husband William of Fort Lee, NJ.; an aunt: Edra Bell of Forest City, PA.; nieces and nephews. The funeral was held Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with the Rev. John Hardman-Zimmerman, pastor of Southern Care Hospice, officiating. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA. Friends called Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 4-8 PM. Pallbearers: Bill White, Bill Morris, Paul McDonald, Jennifer Seitz, Skip Seitz and Frank Muraca.
