Donald D. Kennedy, 84, of Carbondale, PA, died Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Aventura at Creekside, Carbondale, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years the former, Lorraine Owens, on August 19, 2007. Born October 5, 1937 in Honesdale, PA, he was the son of the late Harold Alonzo and Ethel Mae Hogancamp Kennedy. He was retired from Proctor and Gamble in Mehoopany, after 25 years of service and also worked at the Gentex Corporation, Carbondale, for two years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed playing bingo and loved listening to music. The family would like to thank the staff at Creekside for all of their compassionate care to Donald. He is survived by one daughter: Diane Lorraine Noon and husband, John of Archbald, PA; two sons: Donald Feston Kennedy and wife, Deborah of Carbondale, PA, and Mark Harold Kennedy of Scranton, PA; three grandchildren: Nicole Laub, Donald F. Kennedy, Jr. and Della Noon; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one brother: Harold Kennedy of White Mills, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles and Daniel Kennedy; and a sister: Joan Tyler. Donald has requested to donate his body to support medical science.
