Don L. Bert Peck, Jr., 54, of Kingsley, PA., died unexpectedly Monday at home.
Born September 10, 1951 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late Don L. and Dorothy L. Burdick Peck, Sr.
He was a graduate of the Mt. View High School and was employed by Penn Dot as an equipment operator. He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard and was a member of the American Legion.
In his younger years he was a terrific softball player. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his very close and dear friend Karen Kerr.
He is survived by two sisters: Ruth Taugher of Lenoxville, PA. and Barbara Pompey and husband Charlie of Nicholson, PA.; Several Nieces, Nephews and very special and close Cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Joyce Pickering
A memorial service was held Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 1:00 pm at the Harford Volunteer Fire Company, Fair Hill Road, Harford, PA., with Pastor Peg Knapich, rector of the Clifford and Lenoxville United Methodist Churchs officiating.
Cremation took place at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.
Friends called Saturday from 12:00pm until service time at the fire hall.
