Dominick P. "Nick" Lorenzetti, 75, of Peckville, PA, died Friday, July 28, 2023, at Allied Services Hospice Center, Scranton, PA. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Beryl Bronson who died May 25, 1999.
Born April 22, 1948 in Batavia , NY, he was the son of the late Dominick Ubaldo and Mary Turci Lorenzetti.
Nick was a graduate of Blakely High School, worked as an electrician his whole life and recently for the Steamtown National Historical Site. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Newport News during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville, and the Shopa-Davey VFW Post 6082, Peckville. He was an avid Steelers fan. Nick was caring, kind and a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. His greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughter, Jazalynn.
He is survived by one son: Dominick Lorenzetti and companion, Tricia of Eynon, PA; one granddaughter: Jazalynn Lorenzetti of Dalton, PA; his companion: Beatrice "Bea" Swingle of Mayfield, PA; three sisters: Joann Machiesky and husband, Paul of Milford, NJ, Marie Hubal and husband, Joseph of Eynon, PA and Ellie Lewis of Jessup, PA; one brother-in-law: J.D. Pabis of Auburn, NY ;and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law: Ellen Pabis
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. from Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 1101 Willow Street, Peckville, PA. Interment with military honors followed at St. Francis Cemetery, Eynon, PA.
A viewing was held Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the church.
