Dolores A. Liuzzo, age 74, of Carbondale, PA. died late Friday evening, June 20, 2003 at the VNA Hospice Pallative Care Center of Lackawanna County Inpatient Unit at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She was the wife of Anthony C. Liuzzo. Born November 1, 1928 in Jessup, PA. She was the daughter of the late Adam and Helen (Hulek) Gonus. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale and its altar and rosary society. She is a graduate of Jessup schools and attended Lackawanna Business School, Scranton, PA. Liuzzo The funeral was held Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Russell Motsay, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Friends called Monday, June 23, 2003 from 5-9 pm. A prayer service was performed by the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Altar and Rosary Society on Monday evening.
