Dolores H. Kashetta, 81, of Oakwood Terrace, Moosic, PA, died Friday, October 9, 2015 at VNA Hospice, Scranton, PA. She was the wife of Frank J. Kashetta, who died May 20, 1994. Born May 3, 1934 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Petronella Aponik Matuszewski. Dolores was a 1952 graduate of Dickson City High School where she was the captain of the girls basketball team. She worked in retail and manufacturing for most of her life. She was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Lehighton, PA and was very involved with the Altar and Rosary Society and all church functions. She is also a member of St. John Vianney Parish, Montdale, PA, since her move to the area and enjoyed cooking, entertaining and was a big Philadelphia sports fan following the Eagles, Flyers, Phillies and 76ers. The family would like to thank the staffs at Oakwood Terrace, Compassionate Care and Dr. Kurt Moran for the kindness and excellent care they provided Dolores during her final year. She is survived by two daughters: Diane Kime and husband William of Laurel, MD and Gloria Konzman and husband Michael of Lenox Township, PA; four grandchildren: Michael Kime and wife Krystle, Matthew Kime, Brian Konzman, S.J. and Kathleen Konzman; one sister: Irene Charles of Sparta , NJ; her longtime companion: Ken Treger of Lehighton, PA; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Frank Matuszewski, Stanley and Alex Jeryga; four sisters: Mary Szecila, Ann Marcello, Alice Borden and Jean Baker. The funeral was held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 9:45 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, 704 Montdale Road, Montdale, celebrated by Rev. Michael J. Kirwin, pastor. Interment, S.S. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lehighton, PA. Pallbearers: William Kime, Matthew Kime, Michael Kime, Michael Konzman and Brian Konzman, S.J.
