Dianne L. Racht, age 54, a lifelong resident of Carbondale, PA., died Friday evening, July 9, 2010 at the Hospice Community Care, Dunmore, PA., after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 23, 1956 in Carbondale, PA., she is the daughter of Alberta (Corrigan) Racht of Carbondale and the late James L. Racht.
She was a graduate of Lakeland High School and worked for several local dress factories. She also worked for Gennalite Christmas Tree Company in Jessup, PA., and Supermarket Services in Dunmore. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale and enjoyed cooking and outdoor grilling. Her biggest joy was her generosity in spoiling all of the small children in the family.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Hospice Community Care, Dr. Hyzinski and his assistant Cherie, Dr. Davis and the entire fourth floor Oncology Department at the Marian Community Hospital for all of their wonderful care to Dianne during her illness.
She is survived by nieces; great nieces and nephews; one aunt: Nancy Corrigan of Whites Crossing, PA.; one uncle: Bob Miller of Mechanicsburg, PA.; cousins.
The funeral was held Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Margo Tomlinson, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale, officiating. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart, PA.
Pallbearers: Thomas Tarchak, Sr., Thomas Tarchak, Jr., Matthew and Walter Curyk, John and Eugene Natichak.
