Dianna L. Carros, 65, of Brooklyn, PA., died Thursday afternoon, October 28, 2010 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre, PA. She was the wife of the late Dennis Carros, Sr. who died November 13, 1970.
Born November 5, 1944 in Binghamton, NY., she was the daughter of the late William and Clara (Aton) Terry.
She was an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Hop Bottom, PA., where she ran the craft classes for the Sunday school. She received her Bachelor's degree from Waynesburg University and her Master of Public Administration Degree from SUNY-Binghamton. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by ATT as an operator and later she worked with the New York State Cooperative Extension program with Cornell University.
The family would also like to thank the staff of the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock for the special care they provided to Dianna and to her family and friends at the Grace Lutheran Church for all of their support and assistance during her illness.
She is survived by one son: Dennis Carros, Jr. of Charlotte, NC.; one daughter: Tracy Grimes of Indiana; one brother: William Terry of Owego, NY.; 7 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Sandra and Joanne Terry; one granddaughter: Courtney Grimes.
A memorial service was held Monday, November 1, 2010 at 7:00 PM from the Grace Lutheran Church, Hop Bottom with the Rev. Kim Bode, pastor, officiating. Inurnment, Evergreen Woodlawn Cemetery, Factoryville, PA.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
Memorial Contributions were made in Dianna's name to the Grace Lutheran Church.
