Debbie Kilmer Benedict, 57, of Nicholson, PA, died Friday, May 12, 2017 at home. She was the wife of the late Kevin J. Benedict. Born in Tunkhannock, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick, Sr. and Vernice Escott Kilmer. She was the owner of Debbles Tanning and Sauna in Nicholson. Debbie was an avid lover of nature, and took pleasure in raising a wide variety of plants. Debbie had a deep sense of pride when it came to her job and truly loved bringing happiness to those around her. She loved spending time with her family, pets and played a large nurturing role in the raising of her grandson, Caderyn. She is survived by one son: Brandon Benedict and wife Hazel of Secane, PA; one grandson: Caderyn Rosal Benedict; one sister: Shelley Boyle and husband Don of Scranton, PA; one brother: Richard Kilmer of Tunkhannock, PA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother: Frederick Kilmer, Jr. The funeral was held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, officiated by Pastor Thomas Cusack .
