Deborah I. Sanford, 73, of Herrick Township, PA, died Friday, October 23, 2026 at Geisinger CMC, Scranton, PA, after a battle with dementia.

A former resident of Maryland, she moved to Herrick Township to care for her father. Debbie retired as chief financial officer for an electrical contracting firm where she was a trusted strategist and advisor in the company's growth.

Strong in her Christian faith, Debbie was a prayer warrior. She valued people above all else, leaving a trail of cherished friendships wherever she went. Debbie also took great enjoyment in the beauty of the outdoors and especially loved visits to the beach.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years: Stephen Sanford; one son: Aaron Ward and wife, Courtney; and three grandchildren: Noah, Kannon and Max.

She was also preceded in death by her parents: William Keim, Jr. and Harriet Smith Keim; and a sister: Sandra Lee Blair.

Private interment will take place at the Meyers Cemetery in Herrick Center, PA..
