Deborah A. Hopkins, 62, formerly of Jacksonville, FL, died Monday night, September 29, 2014 at the home of her mother in DeFuniak Springs, FL, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 9, 1951 in Niagra Falls, NY, she is the daughter of Elizabeth "Betty" Talarico Amato, of DeFuniak Springs, FL and a native of Carbondale, PA and the late Tully "Whitey" Eastham, Jr. She is survived by her husband: William E. Hopkins, II.; four children: Christina A. Hopkins of McKinney, TX, William E. Hopkins, III., Kimberly Ann Hopkins and Mark Matthew Hopkins all of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren: Brendon Avery Manns and Isabella Angelis Castillo; three sisters: Dawn Daugherty of Coral Springs, FL, Michelle Marie Hewett of Royal Palm Beach, FL and Marilyn T. Joyce of DeFuniak Springs, FL; several nieces and nephews. She was carried on angel wings and is now with her father, Whitey and two beloved grandmothers, Angelina Talarico and Bessie Eastham. The funeral was held Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 1:30 PM from the Caballero-Rivero Funeral Home-Westchester, 8200 Bird Road, Miami, FL, with Deacon Santos Rodriguez of St. Martin de Porres Parish, officiating. Interment, Miami Memorial Park, Miami, FL.
Pallbearers: Mark Hopkins, William Hopkins, II., John Joyce, Brendon Mann, Dominick Maestre, Jonathan, Matthew and Christopher Daugherty.
Family and friends called Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Funeral arrangements were conducted in Florida by Debbie's cousin, Louis C. Parise of the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
