Debbie Pompey, 70, of Lenox Township, PA, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 20, 2023 after a sudden illness. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Richard Pompey.

Born December 19, 1952 in Binghamton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Herman Hunter and Joyce Mae Robinson Dutkowsky.

Debbie was formerly employed at the Bendix Corporation in South Montrose, PA, and the Elk Mountain VFW in Lenox, PA. She was currently employed as a para professional at the Mountain View Elementary School in Kingsley, PA. It was a job she truly loved.

Debbie was an avid reader and loved to travel with her family. She was the most loving and caring person you could ever meet. She was forever taking care of everyone else's needs but was especially not very good at accepting help from others. If there was a benefit to help someone or an important cause, Debbie was involved in some capacity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but especially by her family whom she was devoted to.

She is survived by three sons: Josh Randall of Acworth, GA, Jeremy Randall and wife, Dana of South Gibson, PA, and Dallas Pompey of Lenox Township, PA; a grandson: Alex Randall; nine siblings: her twin, Dawn Lipski, Kimberly Thompson and husband, Robert, Thomas Hunter and wife, Penny, John Hartman, III., and wife Cindy, Vonnie Hunter, Joanne Hochrun, Janet Dutkowsky, John Hochrun and wife, Cheryl and John Dutkowsky and wife, Laverne; an uncle: Alex Hunter; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Charles and Barbara Pompey; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral was held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with Rev. William Hagenbuch, pastor of the Harford First Congregation Church, officiating.

Viewing hours were held Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
