David L. Winters, 65, of Carbondale, PA., died Friday night, October 26, 2012 at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, PA. He is survived by his wife of 41 years the former Bonnie Schiebel. Born October 2, 1947 in Scranton, PA,, he was the son of the late John Manny and Edna Mancini Winters. He had resided in Carbondale for the past 41 years and was of the Presbyterian faith. Prior to his disability, he had been employed as sales person and delivery driver for Dale's and Dave's Auto Supply in Carbondale. His job allowed him to meet many people whom he always greeted with a smile and a joke. He loved his dachshunds: Buster and Momo and also enjoyed going on road trips and visiting caves. The family would like to give thanks and appreciation to Dr. David Tomazic and staff for their many years of compassionate care to Dave, the staff of Moses Taylor Hospital, Carbondale Nursing and Rehab for their kindness and quick response to Dave's needs and to Parise Funeral Home for all their care with Dave's final arrangements. He is survived by one son: Scott Winters and fiance Erica Harris of Carbondale, PA.; one daughter: Santina Snyder and husband Paul of Hawaii; four grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Chris Winters, Zach Snyder, Kierstin Snyder and Klarice Winters; one brother: Phil Winters and wife Carleen of Carbondale, PA.; many nieces and nephews. As per Dave's request he was cremated and a private memorial service for the family was held from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
