David Lewis Farr, 69, of Carbondale, PA, passed away peacefully at home early Thursday morning, May 1, 2025.

He was born on March 23, 1956, in Meshoppen, PA, the son of the late Lewis O. and Mildred (Carey) Farr. On Aug 5, 1988, he married Sandra E. Farr, who preceded him in death in 2014.

David is survived by his daughters: Chrisey Farr (George) Hillgen and Trudy Farr-Rupp (Mike); his grandchildren: Evan, Amaya, Isaiah, Akemi, and Nya. He is also survived by his brother: Lloyd Farr; his niece: Jessica (Bruce) Thompson, and his nephews: Michael L. Farr and Anthony J. Farr.

In addition, he is survived by his stepchildren: Sherry Bahrenburg, Sharelda Dietrich, Susan (Mike) Cook, Samuel Cadora III, and Christina Cadora; 14 step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother: Michael J. Farr.

David will be remembered for his gentle demeanor, his unwavering care for his stepfamily, and the quiet kindness he extended to those around him.

A Graveside service was held Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Forkston Cemetery, Forkston, PA, by Rev. Gary Myers, pastor of the Biblical Baptist Church, Meshoppen, PA.
