David V. Falbo, 58, of Mayfield, PA, died Saturday night, March 1, 2014 upon arrival at the Mid Valley Hospital, Peckville, PA. He was the husband of the former Angela Baggetta. Born July 18, 1955 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Sam, Jr. and Marie Arabio Falbo. He was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and Lackawanna Junior College, Scranton, PA. He was currently employed as a supervisor in the distribution department of the English Riding Company, in Scranton. He had a very strong work ethic and enjoyed working as the plant manager in his family's business, the former Falbo Dairy and Pizza Crust both of Carbondale. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Parish in Jermyn, PA. He was a loving husband and a supportive father. When his children were younger, he was active in coaching their little league and midget football teams. He adored his four granddaughters who were the loves of his life. He is survived by one son: David Falbo, Jr. and wife Tina of Springbrook Township, PA; one daughter: Marissa Davis and husband Gregory of Greenfield Township, PA; four granddaughters: Kaylyn, Olivia, Karli and Gianna; two brothers: Sam Falbo, III. of Carbondale, PA and John Falbo, Ph.D. of Bethlehem, PA; two aunts: Emma Cerra of Carbondale, PA and Lucille Kubel of Easton, PA; his mother-in-law: Parma Baggetta of Mayfield, PA; several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 9:15 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, 622 Madison Avenue, Jermyn, celebrated by Monsignor Dale Rupert, administrator. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
