David L. Bean, Sr., 70, of Clifford Township, PA, died unexpectedly Friday morning, October 10, 2025.

Born August 12, 1955 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late John and Marian (Button) Bean.

David was a successful owner and operator of a trucking company for many years. David enjoyed spending his weekends polishing his truck and mowing his lawn. Upon retirement, he dedicated himself to his family. Affectionately known as Pop, you could always find him surrounded by his beloved grandchildren, two sons, and all his other family.

He is survived by the mother of his two sons: Laurie Baraw; his oldest son: David Bean, Jr. and companion, Christie; his youngest son: Brian Bean and wife, Krystine; six grandchildren: Tristan, Declan, Farrah, Brayden, Kylee and Karina; five siblings: Mary Lou Whitmore and husband, Steve, Patti Megivern and husband, John, Larry Bean and wife, Maryann, Darlene Hartwick, and Kenny Bean and wife, Patty.

He was also preceded in death by a grandson: Braxton Bean; and three brothers: Tommy, Bobby and Duane Bean.

A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
