Darlene Sposito, 62, of Crystal Lake, PA., died Thursday morning, March 5, 2009 at home. Born January 29, 1947 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Hortense (Tallarico) Sposito, who passed away in 1989 and 1991 respectively.She loved country western music and enjoyed frequent visits to the Elkview Country Club at Crystal Lake. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and Tri County Mental Health Association both of Carbondale. She is survived by one brother: James A. Sposito, Esq. of Crystal Lake, PA., with whom she resided for the past 18 years; she is also survived by a nephew, grandniece, aunts, numerous cousins and a wonderful caregiver: Gladys Dearie, who all loved her.A Mass of Christian Burial followed by a Rite of Committal was held Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Russell E. Motsay, pastor and Rev. Louis Bonacci, S.J., her cousin. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Friends called Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the church.Arrangements were under the direction of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale.
