Darleen worked for many years at the former Ames Department Store where she met many of her lifelong friends. Darleen devoted her time to taking care of her family and friends. She enjoyed relaxing on her porch, smiling and laughing with all of her children and grandchildren. She also had a love for cats. She was always caring for her cats as well as a stray or two.

The families would like to thank the staff at the Carbondale Nursing Center for the years of dedication and care they provided.

She is survived by four sons: David Colachino and fiancée, Jennifer of Clifford Township, PA, Matthew Colachino of Carbondale, PA, Daniel Colachino and wife, Jennifer of West Clifford, PA, and Nick Colachino and companion, Kira of Carbondale, PA; one daughter: Karen Jankowski of Simpson, PA; her former husband: Domenick "Sonny" Colachino of Carbondale, PA; eight grandchildren: Matthew, Shane, Austin, Jasmin, Daniel and Tyler Colachino, Donald Depew and John Usher; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one sister: Beverly Greene and two brothers: William Kirk, Jr. and Harold Dolph.

The funeral was held Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at noon from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with Rev. William McGinty, pastor of the Trinity Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart, PA.

Pallbearers: David Colachino, Matthew Colachino, Daniel Colachino, Sr., Nick Colachino, Daniel Colachino, Jr. and Tyler Colachino.

Viewing hours were held Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. till noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Dessin Animal Shelter in honor of Darleen.
