Obituary

Dale Lee Wellman, 54, of Clifford Township, PA., died Tuesday afternoon, October 12, 2010 at Mercy Hospice, Scranton, PA. He was the husband of the former Colleen Corrigan. Born September 6, 1956 in Montrose, PA., he was the son of the late Ray and Marilyn (Lewis) Wellman. He was a graduate of Montrose High School and later was certified as a driller-blaster. He was an Army veteran and was employed as a flexo-pressman at Keystone Printed Specialties, Old Forge, PA. He was a member of the FAM Bluestone Masonic Lodge, #338, of Great Bend-Hallstead and the New Milford Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time at the hunting camp which his father helped build. He cherished every moment he spent with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. He is survived by one son: Dustin Lee Wellman of Greenfield Township, PA.; three daughters: Laura Wellman of Carbondale, PA., Amber Allen and husband Jeremy of Mayfield, PA. and Shelby Wellman of Clifford Township, PA.; five grandchildren: Seth Allen, Charles Lynady, IV., Cody Allen, Wyatt Wellman-Krizovich and Abigail Allen; nieces and nephews: Kara Blaisure, Todd, Robyn and Robert Wellman. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Ray Billy Wellman, Jr. and Robert Wellman. A blessing service was held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA., with Rev. William D. Campbell, senior priest from St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale, PA., officiating. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Dustin Wellman, Jeremy Allen, John and Matt Oleniacz, Todd Decker, Eric Harvey, Gary and Eric Allen. Friends called Friday, October 15, 2010 from 4-8 PM. Memorial contributions were sent in Dale's name to Mercy Hospice, 746 Jefferson Avenue, Scranton, Pa 18510.
