Obituary

Constantino F. Custy Molinaro, age 80, of Carbondale, PA. died early Thursday morning, June 19, 2003 at the Hospice Unit of Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. His wife is the former Theresa Kerins. Born May 7, 1923 in Carbondale, PA. He was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Rogus) Molinaro. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. He was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard 109th Infantry. In 1951, his unit was federalized with orders to go to Camp Attabury, Indiana. In route to the camp a train wreck occurred in which he survived but left 33 dead. He was a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Carbondale and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald, PA. where he served as a Faithful Navigator. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and it's local post Cerra-Leo Chapter 98, Carbondale. He was the founder of Molinaro Paving and Construction Company, Carbondale. He loved spending time with his family and was very kind to all who knew him. He enjoyed singing and will be dearly missed. He loved the city of Carbondale, where he unfortunately had to grow up fast due to his fathers death at a young age. Being the only male sibling he was forced to quit school and take care of the family. Memorial Contributions: Childrens Relief Fund 14 Wedgefield Drive Hilton Head Island, SC 29926 He is survived by four daughters: Marianne Wisniewski of Olyphant, PA., Nancy Bucklaw of Mayfield, PA., Tina O'Hara of Newton Lake, PA. and Rose Marie Fotia of Hilton Head Island, SC.; two sons: Frank Molinaro of Greenfield Township, PA. and Jackie Molinaro of Carbondale, PA.; five sisters: Lillian Taroli of Carbondale, PA., Stella Mickel of Greenfield Township, PA., Gertrude Turk of Fairfield, CT., Theresa Slick of Carbondale, PA. and Delores Kuttrubis of Carbondale, PA.; 14 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; 10 Great Great Grandchildren; Nieces Nephews He was preceded in death by one grandson: Gregory Fotia; two sisters: Katherine Paraschak and Marie Hyde The funeral was held Saturday, June 21, 2003 at 10:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Kevin P. Mulhern, Pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township. Private viewing was Friday, June 20, 2003 from 6-8 pm. Pallbearers: Matthew Bucklaw, Mark Bucklaw, Brian Wisniewski, Lenny Wisniewski, Michael Molinaro, Jackie Molinaro, Kevin Molinaro and Frank Fotia, all grandchildren.
