Collette Walker, age 75, a resident of Brighten at Julia Ribaudo, Lake Ariel, PA. and formerly of Mahwah, NJ., died Friday evening, August 19, 2011 at VNA Hospice, Scranton, PA. She was the wife of the late Harry Monte Walker who died in 1995.
Born April 14, 1936 in Suffern, NY., she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary Frances Van Dunk.
She is survived by four daughters: Mary McLord of New York, Collette Walker of Hawley, PA., Lisa Heard of Jacksonville, FL. and Viola Missy Muhammad of Miami, FL.; three sons: Harry Walker of Patterson, NJ., William Walker of Scranton, PA. and Robert Walker of Lodi, NJ.; two sisters: Lornah O'Neil of Las Vegas, NV. and Colleen Cross of Suffern, NY.; three brothers: Wanky Van Dunk of New York, Fuzzy Van Dunk of Suffern, NY. and Peter Van Dunk of Louisana; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister: Inez; one brother: Mack Van Dunk.
A memorial service was held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 12:00 PM from Stag Hill Road on Houvenkopf Mountain, Mahwah, NJ., celebrated by the Ramapo Mountain Indians.
Cremation arrangements were under the care of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc, Carbondale, PA.
