Obituary

Clifton Milo Oakley, 83, of Clifford Township, PA, died Saturday morning, February 22, 2014 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. His wife was the former Rosa Lydia Echeandia who died on December 14, 2013. They were married for 60 years. Born April 24, 1930 in Gibson, PA, he was the son of the late Freeman and Minnie Lovelace Oakley. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and had been employed for many years in the local flagstone industry. He is survived by two sons: Clifton Oakley of Clifford Township, PA and Donald Oakley of North Port, FL; four step sons: Nester Morales of Kingsley, PA, Joseph Marquez of Clifford Township, PA, Robert Marquez of Nicholson, PA and Edward Marquez of Clifford Township, PA; three sisters: Laura Braisted, Joan Moyer and Phyllis Court; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Lorraine and Baby Ethel Oakley; three brothers: Philip, Baby Harold and Baby Harvey Oakley. As per his request, he was cremated and no services were held. Cremation arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
