Clayton L. Bud Petry, age 89, of Effort, PA. and formerly of Northvale, NJ., died Saturday afternoon, December 1, 2012 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Plains Township, PA. He was the husband of the late Mabel. Born October 19, 1923 in Troy, OH., he was the son of the late Wilbur and Emma (Collins) Petry. He was loving father to Gary and the late John. Dearest father-in-law of Andrea and Patricia. Cherished grandfather of Steven, Lauren, Tricia, Kristen, Stefanie and Brandon. Adored great-grandfather of seven. Brother of the late Nancy and Miriam. Clayton was a US Navy veteran serving in World War II. He was a field technician for Hobart Manufacturing in White Plains, NY. before retirement. A funeral service was held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 9:30 AM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, NJ. Visiting hours were held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Local arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
