On November 25, 2014 the big book in the sky opened up and Claude's name was on the page. He passed away at Hartford Hospital. Claude was born New Year's Eve in Forest City, PA to the late Frank and Catherine (Bucinell) Franceski. He was the beloved husband of Josephine (Mihalick) Franceski. Claude was a life long resident of West Hartford, CT. He graduated from Forest City High School and became a self-employed hair stylist. He served in World War II and the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the Clifford Township Historical Society. He was a devout member of the Church of St. Timothy in West Hartford where he also served as an usher for many years. He enjoyed gardening and was also a dedicated fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and UCONN basketball. Besides his wife he is survived by his sister Elizabeth (Betty Jo) Bishop and her husband Frank of Barnegate, NJ, sister-in-law Dolores Lavriha of West Hartford, special nieces Barbara Lentini, Maureen Hurst, Loretta Smith and other nieces & nephews. Susie and Mike Cleaver and many other friends. He was predeceased by his sisters Catherine Pepson, Winifred Lefebre, Mary Franceski and Genevieve (Jean) Franceski, brothers David, Francis, Leo Cyril, Edward, Albert and Richard. Family and Friends attended a memorial Mass on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 10:00AM at the Church of St. Timothy, 1116 North Main Street, West Hartford, celebrated by Rev. Henry Cody. Inurnment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City, PA. Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
