Clarence Kilmer, Sr. age 94, formerly of Acre Lake, PA and a resident of the Forest City Personal Care Home, Forest City, PA. died Wednesday afternoon, June 16, 2004 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, PA. His wife is the former Consetta Corvino, who died May 21, 1977.
Born January 3, 1910 in Waymart, PA. He was the son of the late Cortland and Blanche (Davis) Kilmer.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Scranton, PA. He was a self-employed logger and farmer for over 30 years.
He had a great love for the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a great storyteller while stretching the truth a little.
He is survived by two daughters: Shirley Uhran of Longwood, FL. and Joann Telford of Crystal Lake, PA.; six sons: Robert Kilmer of Clifford, PA., Fred Kilmer of Nicholson, PA., Ronald Kilmer of Forest City, PA., Douglas Kilmer of Uniondale, PA., Raymond Kilmer of Thompson, PA. and Larry Kilmer of Mayfield, PA.; three sisters: Ethel Labowski of Crystal Lake, PA., Annabelle Stackhouse of Carbondale, PA. and Gertrude Kilmer of Crystal Lake, PA.; 29 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren; Several Great Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces Nephews He was preceded in death by one son: Clarence Kilmer, Jr.; one grandson: Randy Kilmer; one brother: Chester Kilmer, Sr.; two sisters: Olive Decker and Leila Barrett
The funeral was held Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 11:00 am in the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, officiated by Rev. Fred Hyde. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford. Friends called Friday, June 18, 2004 from 7-9 pm. Pallbearers: 4 Sons-Ronnie Kilmer, Doug Kilmer, Ray Kilmer, Larry Kilmer, 2 Grandsons- Bob Kilmer, Jr. and Fred Kilmer, Jr.
