Cindy G. Grover, 54, of Blakely, PA., died Thursday night, April 18, 2013 at Regional Hospital, Scranton, PA. She was the wife of Edgar O. Grover who died December 2, 1997. Born August 26, 1958 in Cobleskill, NY., she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Doris Zeh Sperbeck. She had been employed as a nurse's aid for 25 years and was last employed at the Golden Living Center in Scranton. She was a member of the American Legion, Raymond Henry Post 327 in Olyphant, PA. Her hobby was making crafts and she had a special talent for arranging artificial floral bouquets. She is survived by her fianc: Stephen Kovach of Blakely, PA.; three sons: Roy Grover and wife Lorraine of Childs, PA., Dave Grover and wife Melanie of Forest City, PA. and Kirt Grover and Tanya of Scott Township, PA.; five sisters: Roxann Stockdale and husband George of Worcester, NY., Mary Alice Shafer and husband William of East Worcester, NY., Debbie Greiner and husband Harry of Oneonta, NY., Terry Davidson and husband John of Cobleskill, NY. and Star Poliseno and husband Joseph of Schenevus, NY.; two brothers: Jody Sperbeck and wife Michelle of Schenevus, NY. and Duane Sperbeck and wife Kathy of Anchorage, AK.; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Minnie Keehle and Cindy's dear friends: Gloria Martillie and Trudy Delawder, who cared for her during her illness. She was preceded in death by one sister: Shirley Briss Burton; one brother: Buddy Sperbeck. The funeral was held Monday, April 22, 2013 at 9:30 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Rev. Donald Schaible, pastor of the Trinity Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, Montdale, PA. Friends called Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 4-7 PM.
