Christopher J. Moran, 49, of Nicholson, PA, died suddenly Sunday, November 11, 2018 at home. Born December 6, 1968 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur J. Moran and Helen Gannon Phillips. A long time resident of Lake Sheridan, he was raised in Clifford and a graduate of Mountain View High School Class of 1987. He was a 20 year member of the Carpenters Local 445 Union. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and son and was cherished by his friends and family. Everyone who knew Chris was blessed by his kindness, sharp wit and generous heart. He was sociable and a fun loving person whose smile lit up a room. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Phillies, University of North Carolina basketball & Notre Dame football fan. He is survived by his sons: Dylan Joseph Moran and Colin Michael Moran, both of South Abington Township, PA; his brothers and sister: Arthur J. Moran, Jr. (Madonna) of Scranton, PA, Martin Moran (Kathleen) of Havertown, PA, John Moran (Michael Wood) of Boston, MA, Michael Moran (Lori) of Clarks Summit, PA and Maura Staback (Randy) of Eynon, PA; his step father: Harry Phillips (Maria); his former wife: Lynn Krupovich Parise; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The funeral was held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 3615 State Route 106, Royal, celebrated by Rev. Michael J. Kirwin, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Arthur Moran, Jr., John Moran, Michael Moran, Martin Moran, Joseph Krupovich, Ryan Krupovich, Randy Ransom and Chad DeNike. Friends called Friday, November 16, 2018 from 5-8 pm.
