Cheryl L. Weldon, age 62, of Clifford Township, PA., died Sunday morning, December 21, 2008, at the Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. She was the wife for 43 years of John B. Weldon. Born October 29, 1946 in Morristown, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Bryant) Dickson. She was a 1964 graduate of Morristown High School, Morristown, NJ. and was an office manager for 28 years at Elk Mountain Ski Resort, Union Dale, PA.She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, but most of all enjoyed spoiling and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons: Christopher Weldon and wife Sandra and David Weldon and wife Erin, all of Clifford Township, PA; one sister: Laurie Absalon of Cartersville, GA.; one brother: Raymond Dickson of Easton, PA; three grandchildren: David Paul Weldon, Deven Weldon and Kiersten Weldon, all of Clifford Township, PA.; nieces and nephews.The funeral was held Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at 7:00 pm from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, celebrated by Pastor Peg Knapich of the Clifford Lenoxville United Methodist Churches, officiating. Cremation will follow at Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.
