Charles W. Ross, Jr., 71, of Nicholson, PA, died Friday, June 3, 2016 at Golden Living Center, Scranton, PA.
Born January 24, 1945 in Glenwood, PA, he was the son of the late Charles, Sr. and Gladys Hunter Ross.
Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a driver for State Aggregates in Clifford, PA, and also worked for Whengreen Farms, Lenoxville, PA, and The Smoke Shop, Clifford. He enjoyed tinkering on cars in his backyard.
He is survived by one son: Brian Wertman of Nicholson, PA; three grandchildren: Briana, Austin and Justin; two great grandchildren; two sisters: Lois Whitbeck of Lenoxville, PA and Gladys Ruth Harvey of Montrose, PA; one brother: James Ross of Hop Bottom, PA; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son: Charles "Chip" Ross; two brothers: Bruce and Jack Ross.
The funeral was held Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, with Pastor Levi Ransom, officiating. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford.
Pallbearers: Austin Wertman, Todd Wagner, Jack Kase and Raymond Compton. Friends called Friday, June 10, 2016 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
