Charles Tabor Kilgore, 59, of Union Dale, PA, died Tuesday night, March 24, 2015 at Regional Hospital, Scranton, PA. Born in Stoneham, MA, he was the son of the late Robert Kilgore, Sr. and Anna Tabor Kilgore. He was a graduate of the Kildonan School in Amenia, NY and later received his CDL. Prior to his disability, he had been employed as a truck driver for Al DeLisa Excavating in New Milford, PA and was a former member of the Teamsters Union. In the late 1970's, he was associated with his father in the family business, Kilgore Construction in Devon, PA. He loved his job as a truck driver and in his spare time he enjoyed working on cars. He was also a former avid skier. A kind and generous person he will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by a daughter: Gayle Anna Kilgore of Clifford Township, PA; two step sons: Wally and Brad Penny both of Kingsley, PA; two sisters: Anna Shiles and husband Mitch of Paoli, PA and Heather Kilgore of Providence, RI; a brother: Robert Kilgore, Jr. and wife Ann Marie of Malvern, PA; nieces and nephews The funeral was held Monday, March 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with Rev. Terry Drost, pastor of the Peckville Assembly of God, officiating. Interment, Welsh Hill Cemetery, Union Dale, PA.
